VISIONS AND DREAMS

Dear Saints, Many of you have asked about dreams, not nighttime dreams but aspirations, a future, and a hope of something better. Let’s see what God has to say of such things. "For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the LORD, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope" (Jer 29:11).

First, what is a dream? A dream is a possibility unfulfilled, a possible outcome according to the desire and work ethics one establishes towards this goal. To make a dream a reality, one must want it to be and diligently work to mature it. One must pursue that thing that is foremost on their mind with all their heart and soul, always remembering, to do nothing that you will regret and regret nothing that you do. "For a dream comes through much activity, and a fool’s voice is known by his many words (Eccl 5:7)."

There are many paths to follow; some lead to fame and riches, some to torment and sorrow. God is the Path maker of our lives..follow Him and you will see green pastures and still waters. 1. "The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want. 2. He makes me to lie down in green pastures; He leads me beside the still waters" (Psalm 23:1-2). You do not have to come to the end of your days believing that you had never achieved your potential or purpose of life. Do you know what that purpose is? No, but The Father does; ask Him and see where the journey will lead you. “Don't want to be a story that's never told. Don't want to wonder what could have been when I'm old. I want to show the world it can be done. Don't want to be another song unsung.” (Lyrics from CYU’s Album Free to Fly: ‘A Song Unsung‘)

Unfulfilled desires and dead-ends of purpose cause many to wander off the path that God has laid out for them. When the deceiver implants the seed of doubt and confusion into your purpose, it does not mean it is over. Turn from that ugly thing called doubt. Hold onto Jesus for He will walk you through the valley and protect you with His strength. "Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil; For You are with me; Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me" (Psalm 23:4). Your objective is achievable if you apply the fundamentals of purpose. Desire, reason, function, use, ability, principle, and most of all, you need to ask yourself if this is what God has revealed to you to do or be? If so, then let no one distract you by their negative motives, or jealous vanity. 5. "Now Joseph had a dream, and he told it to his brothers; and they hated him even more" 6. So he said to them, “Please hear this dream which I have dreamed" (Genesis 37:5-6) .

There are many roads that lead to a destination: If God is your compass, you will not be steered wrong. There are many workers of iniquity who are in the employment of the master liar, the thief. You will find them everywhere, even in the house of worship that you may attend. "Behold, I am against those who prophesy false dreams,” says the LORD, “and tell them, and cause My people to err by their lies and by their recklessness" (Jer 23:32). Do not listen to those who would distract you from your heart's desire. Set your focus on the race at hand and seek the finish line: "For the idols speak delusion; The diviners envision lies, And tell false dreams; They comfort in vain. Therefore the people wend their way like sheep; They are in trouble because there is no shepherd" (Zechariah 10:2).

Destiny & I just watched an excellent movie called ‘The Pursuit of Happiness’ staring Will Smith. This is a powerful story of determination and commitment to one’s dream. I just wanted to throw this in because we liked its message of determination and accomplishment when it seemed that everything was hopeless, and I would recommend this movie to everyone.

Own your vision:

Your vision is yours, given to you by God. Stand in your spot and when the blessings of God come, you will be there to receive it. If not, you will miss it.
"You will not need to fight in this battle. Position yourselves, stand still and see the salvation of the LORD, who is with you" (2 Chr 20:17)
Stand firm, believe, and give it to The Lord Jesus, for He is the author and finisher of our faith.
Dare to dream and hope for your heart's desire. God gives good gifts (James 1:17) and He has ordained for you His best. God made you excellent. Be excellent for Him and you will not fail in your pursuit of happiness.

LET US PRAY: Dear Lord, thank you for the implantation, the desire, and the will power to keep me focused on my journey's end as a winner, and the strength to accomplish the goal that I set my eyes upon. I give you all the glory for keeping my feet firmly planted on Your paths of righteousness that leads to my destination. You have firmed up my weaknesses and given me the strength to keep moving forward. Thank You Jesus. Amen.
