WHO IS BUILDING YOUR HOUSE?
by Rev Ron Buss
July 2007

CYU Ministries.org

"Unless the LORD builds the house, They labor in vain who build it; Unless the LORD guards the city, The watchman stays awake in vain" (Psalm 127:1). It is no small feat to build a house. Many minute details need to be addressed before the first spade of earth is turned. Money, plans, permits, site considerations, local codes, environmental impacts, the list goes on and on: What a stressful situation this could be if you had to do all the necessities by yourself. However, this is rarely the case in a construction project and it should never be the case for anyone rebuilding oneself in Christ Jesus. God has laid out His plan for redemption: The transition from dark to light is as easy as flipping on a light switch.

9 "that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. 10 For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation" (Romans 10:9-10).

Many say, “This is way too simple how can this work.” It only works if you believe and have the faith to move forward, not listening to the naysayers who are mired in doubt and confusion. In Jesus is knowledge and truth; in the world is confusion and doubt.
31. “If you abide in My word, you are My disciples indeed. 32 And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free” (John 8:31-32).

FOCUS PRAYER:
Prayer is Communicating with God: A one-on-one connection that does not need props or theatrics. You need not labor in vain nor do you need to spin around, clap at the moon, wear silly garments that conceal your features, chant foolishly, crawl on your belly like a snake, bow down to the ground repetitively or to take mind altering drugs to seek a higher state of mind. All you need is a heart that believes and a mouth that confesses that Jesus is Lord.
 5. “And when you pray, you shall not be like the hypocrites. For they love to pray standing in the synagogues and on the corners of the streets, that they may be seen by men. Assuredly, I say to you, they have their reward.
7. And when you pray, do not use vain repetitions as the heathen do. For they think that they will be heard for their many words” (Matt 6:5,7).

Will trouble and affliction (that loves to rear its ugly head), ever completely go away? No, never, for satan is the ruler of darknes, as long as we live on this earth, he will do his best to destroy us.
“The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy” (John 10:10)

No one needs to labor in vain to find peace. Receive Jesus into your life and you will find that as you place your trust in Him, the daily struggles you encounter will be but shadows of what they used to be.
16 “Therefore we do not lose heart. Even though our outward man is perishing, yet the inward man is being renewed day by day. 17 For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, is working for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory”
(2 Cor 4:16-17).

Put your trust in The Creator, the Master Carpenter and Designer of all that there is, and in His strength, you will be protected. Know who the enemy is and protect yourself with the Armor of The Lord.  10 “Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might. 11 Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. 12 For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places. 16 above all, taking the shield of faith with which you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one” (Eph 6:10-12,16).

WHO WATCHES OVER YOU?
5 “Trust in the LORD with all your heart, And lean not on your own understanding;
6 In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He shall direct your paths” (Proverbs 3:5-6).

When you find yourself in a place or situation, that without intervention something seriously bad is going to happen, what should you do? Pray to The Lord for help. God knows where you are and what is needed even if you do not. Listen to His voice and heed His advice. Some of you reading this are thinking, “Is he crazy to believe that this could work?” well let me tell you it will and it has, not just in my life; documented accounts throughout history reveal lives are changed by God’s miraculous intervention.
11 “But let all those rejoice who put their trust in You; Let them ever shout for joy, because You defend them; Let those also who love Your name Be joyful in You. 12 For You, O LORD, will bless the righteous; With favor You will surround him as with a shield”  Psalm 5:11-12).

If you are a child of The Lord, He is your Ever-present Guardian, placing hedges of safety all around you. If you do not know The Lord Jesus as your savior, come to Him right now, just as you are, in whatever situation you are in at this very moment and see that His Mercy is good: He loves you and wants you to come home.
18 "I will arise and go to my father, and will say to him, Father, I have sinned against heaven and before you, 19 and I am no longer worthy to be called your son. Make me like one of your hired servants.”
20 And he arose and came to his father. But when he was still a great way off, his father saw him and had compassion, and ran and fell on his neck and kissed him. 21 And the son said to him, "Father, I have sinned against heaven and in your sight, and am no longer worthy to be called your son."
22 But the father said to his servants, "Bring out the best robe and put it on him, and put a ring on his hand and sandals on his feet. 23 And bring the fatted calf here and kill it, and let us eat and be merry; 24 for this my son was dead and is alive again; he was lost and is found." And they began to be merry. (Luke 15:18-24).

Jesus is The Way; He will guide you through the valley of shadows. Jesus is your watchman; He will guard you against the thief. Jesus is life; He came to give you eternal life and to set you free from yesterday’s snares. Give your life to Him, for He has already given His life for you.
28 “Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. 29 Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls” (Matt 11:28-29).

   >> Thank You Lord Jesus, as for me and my house, we will always serve and love You. <<

NEW BELIEVER'S: Let us pray
Dear God, I know that I am a sinner. I know that I am unable to save myself and am not worthy to come to you. My hands and my heart are un-clean. I ask Your Son Jesus to come into my life to help me turn from sin. Jesus come in to me now. Forgive me and cleanse me from my sins. I receive you as my Lord and my Savior. I will live for you and serve you all the days of my life. Amen."

GROUP PRAYER
Glorious Lord, we surrender all that would hold us back from Your Presence. Reveal and equip us to turn from those things that prevent us from entering into a Higher Calling in You. Anoint us with the desire and fire to fight the good fight of faith. In The Name of Yeshua Jesus we pray, Amen.

In His Service,
Rev Ron Buss / CYU Ministries
