THE JOY OF THE LORD

FISHED ALL NIGHT: an on-line Christian Epistle and Teaching from Rev Ron Buss of CYU Ministries
by Rev Ron Buss  - July 2007

What a glorious day. What a beautiful day. What a wonderful time of life to be in. "Oh, give thanks to the LORD, for He is good! For His mercy endures forever (1 Chr 16:34)."
Do not focus on the negative sides of things. Do not look at your situation and play the blame game. Life happens-it's just the way of things. Good and bad befalls everyone at some time  during their lives - But if you dwell on the bad and try to recapture the good, then you are not believing that God can make the new day "See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the desert and streams in the wasteland (Isaiah 43:19)."
We must remember to remember even in the toughest of times, with God nothing is impossible (luke 1:37).

HOW TO OVERCOME:
How do we overcome the trouble of the day that seems to be nearer and nearer?
The news media reveals to us the daily destruction and mayhem happening around the world; some of the devastation that surrounds us is because we live on a planet that is ever changing, and we are caught up in these catastrophic times. Humans cause the deadliest and cruelest of mayhem  because some want and do not have (covet), and will do anything to posses "it" no matter the cost in money or lives. Whose fault is this? It is everyone who turns away from the infiltration of evil that is connected with the social progressives and liberals, who sell away morality and goodness for personal and selfish pleasure; may it be in the form of sexual perversion, drug abuse or by abridging the laws of the land. These manipulators, these workers of evil and no good thing,  must be overcome - And it starts with YOU!
"Do you not know that the wicked will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: Neither the sexually immoral nor idolaters nor adulterers nor male prostitutes nor homosexual offenders (1 Cor 6:9)."

"Sing to the LORD, all the earth; Proclaim the good news of His salvation from day to day (1 Chr 16:23)."

A UTOPIAN SOCIETY?
What if the peoples of the world would turn from their selfish endeavors and look upon The Lord Jesus;
And in doing so, might they be filled with the Joy of The Lord and find the peace that was stolen away in their never ending quest for...? What a utopian society we would be in then if it could be so easy!

HOW TO OVERCOME by Rev Ron Buss of CYU MinistriesWe know that good comes to those who love Jesus:
"And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose (Rom 8:28)"

HOW TO OVERCOME by Rev Ron Buss of CYU MinistriesWe know that in His presence is joy and pleasure unfettered by religious shackles:
"You will show me the path of life; In Your presence is fullness of joy; At Your right hand are pleasures forevermore (Psalm 16:11)."

HOW TO OVERCOME by Rev Ron Buss of CYU MinistriesWe know that when we enter into any house of worship it is Holy Ground and should be treated with reverence:
"Be glad in the LORD and rejoice, you righteous; And shout for joy, all you upright in heart (Psalm 32:11)!"

Jesus wants us to be healthy and prosperous in all that we do. "I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly (John 10:10)."  There is no commandment or vow of poverty from the lips of The Lord, however we will become spiritually, physically, and monetarily poor if we turn from The Word. "Do not let this Book of the Law depart from your mouth; meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do everything written in it. Then you will be prosperous and successful (Joshua 1:8)."

DOING YOUR PART:
Be helpful and courteous always with those whom you can help. Beware of what you say and your attitude of what is around you, for someone is always watching and taking notes of judgment against you. Be true ambassadors of The Lord and you will find pleasure in all you do. "Let them shout for joy and be glad, Who favor my righteous cause; And let them say continually, “Let the LORD be magnified, Who has pleasure in the prosperity of His servant (Psalm 35:27)."
Do all you can to be a role model for Christ. Always reveal the love of Jesus and be ready to point the way Home for any who are lost. How sweet it is to help someone back Home, especially  someone whom has known The Lord Jesus and has ventured away. "Yes, brother, let me have joy from you in the Lord; refresh my heart in the Lord (Phil 1:20)."

I know sometimes it seems to be an overwhelming task, but if we just remember in Christ Jesus we can do all things, and without Him we can do nothing worthwhile. "Unless the LORD builds the house, They labor in vain who build it (Psalm 127:1)." Every person around the world has a duty to do all that he or she can do to eradicate evil from their midst: We cannot blame someone else for not doing our part. We all have an obligation to society, to promote goodness over evil. On the day, we stand (fall) before The Lord, one question that I presume He will ask is, “What did you do with all that I gave you?” I pray beloved above all, that you will hear the words,  "Well done, good and faithful servant; you were faithful over a few things, I will make you ruler over many things. Enter into the joy of your lord (Matt 25:21)."

LET US PRAY: Thank You Lord for Your unwavering strength and for always being near. You have given me a hope and a purpose and have opened my eyes to see that life does not revolve around me. You have shown me that all things are of You, and for You. I will do my best to be the best that You have called me to be. I am proud to be called your friend. Amen
